This autumn Wonder Ponder is offering the philosophy and art workshop ¿Y tú, qué piensas? (What do you think)? for children and their families as part of the new Educational Programme of the Regional Government of Madrid (Spain).

Are you sure your friend is not a robot?
How do we know we are not dreaing?
What are rules for?
Would you like to live in a zoo? Why?

¿Y tú, qué piensas? is a fun-based workshop combining philosophy, literature and art for children and their families. Based on visual, artistic and literary stimuli, participants are invited to engage in philosophical play and dialogue.

During the five sessions of the ¿Y tú, qué piensas? workshop, a series of intriguing questions put forward by philosopher Ellen Duthie and illustrated by artist Daniela Martagón will serve as prompts for philosophical discussion.

Participants will have the chance to start building their own mental maps of some of the big concepts of philosophy and to think about questions for which there may be more than one answer.

They'll also get the chance to design, illustrate and compose their very own philosophical scenes and put them to the test on the last day (November 22nd), where each of the participants may invite one adult to engage in a vibrant intergenerational dialogue.

Once the workshop has ended, Wonder Ponder will put together an ebook with the experience and content produced by the attendants, which shall be sent to all participants in the weeks following the last session of the workshop.

To take part, you must register by completing the inscription form. A maximum of 2 children per person may be inscribed.

More information on the workshop on the Regional Government of Madrid's website, here (in Spanish).
